Tecticrater finlayi is a species of small limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Lepetellidae.

This species is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand including the Three Kings Islands.

This limpet is found at depths of about 170 m.

[edit] Shell description

The shell is different from both Tecticrater compressa and Tecticrater subcompressa in being only slightly laterally compressed, and in having the apex central. Both dorsal slopes are straight, but the base is convex, with the ends upward curved.

Shell height is up to 1.65 mm, length is up to 3.7 mm, and width is up to 2.45 mm.
