Tecoma is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Tecoma, on the Belgrave railway line. The station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.

The station consists of only one platform, located at the western end of the McNicol Road overpass and between Clifford Grove and Campbell Street, with access from the latter. The platform contains a small fibro building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to the platform, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. Disused toilets are located inside the building.

[edit] History

Tecoma station originally opened on Friday, 1st February 1924. The station was formally one of the stations on the Upper Ferntree Gully – Gembrook narrow gauge line, one of the narrow gauge lines of the Victorian Railways until 1962 when the line as far as Belgrave was converted to Broad Gauge.
