[edit] Personality profile
Tecna is 16 years old and her birthday is on December 16th. Tecna is extremely smart and loves technology. She is always practical and logical, sometimes to a fault. She is unselfish and nice to her friends - she truly cares for them, even if she can't always show it. She loves science and in her spare time, she does experiments. She also has a photographic memory; as mentioned in the episode Rescue At Cloudtower, season 1. Sometimes she gets too into her technology, and her enthusiasm with the same can be annoying. She loves computers and video games. Tecna has trouble expressing her emotions and bases the majority of her decisions on pure logic, though in the second and third season, she gets over that trouble and is more open and friendly toward her friends. According to her profile page at winxclub.com, Tecna enjoys doing sports and being active. Her boyfriend is Timmy
[edit] Appearance
Civilian
Tecna has magenta colored, pixie boy cut styled hair, teal eyes, and pale skin tone. Her daily outfit consists of a soft purple and lime green vest top, soft purple flared fitted cropped pants and same color shoes. Her other outfit from season 2 on is a lavender polo vest top midriff, with a miniskirt of the same color and wedged heeled boots.
Winx
Tecna's Winx outfit is inarguably the most distinctive of all the fairies viewed in the show. The outfit is mainly a full body suit with sparkling lavender color lavender covering the torso and legs. She has powder blue sleeves which cover her hands as well, and blue knee-high boots. She wears a lavender helmet which has a lime green tear-shaped brooch on it, similar to the one on her chest. Her wings are green bars which form small squares on her back, in the form of a glider. These wings help her fly supported by digital energy considering they cannot flutter. Her Charmix is a triangle pin and a trasmitter shaped waistbag.
Enchantix
Her Enchantix outfit, in extreme contrast to that of her Winx outfit, is considerably more "revealing". Primarily violet in color, Tecna's outfit also consists of flattering light blue trimming, light blue translucent above-the-elbow gloves that are decorated with various violet colored jewels, and orchid and light yellow, ample butterfly curls wings with violet bejeweled outlining. She is the only one of the Winx girls, besides Bloom, it seems, not to have her hair styled in pigtails; while it has not grown in extreme length like the other Winx girls, it does lengthen at least a few inches in the back like a flowing fountain, earning her a sassy, tapered and sophisticated look and style. She has also discarded her powder blue colored boots and dons strappy barefoot sandals, and wears (instead of a tiara as the other Winx girls do, except for Bloom) what appears to be a lily-shaped, soft green colored beret clip placed upon the left side of her head. Her fairy dust bottle is violet with a hole in the middle and diamond top.
She earned her Enchantix in the 13th episode of season 3, when she volunteered to close the portal to the Omega Dimension on Layla's home realm to prevent it from being sucked in and cancelled out, sacrificing herself in the process. This caused some consternation from fans who had expected to see her home realm, as earning one's Enchantix is supposed to require saving someone from their home realm ( She is also the only Winx girl whose home realm has not been shown). Fans were also concerned that she would not come back after her sacrifice (she did a few episodes later, though). She is the 5th Winx Club member to earn her Enchantix.
[edit] Relationships
- Stella
- Flora
- Musa
- Bloom
- Layla
- Timmy Tecna's love interest is Timmy. Timmy likes her too, but they're both shy about their feelings. They have many of the same interests, like technology, but Tecna wants Timmy to like her for more than computers. He does, but doesn't always show it. Tecna seems to have a close connection to Timmy. They do not put an actual label on their relationship, however, until season 2, when Tecna has a weird dream about her and Timmy. Timmy was the one who was most worried about Tecna after she was lost after she got her Enchantix and he lead the search party to find her.
- Digit She is bonded with Digit. They get along pretty well, she occasionally fights with her over who is smarter.
[edit] Magical abilities
Tecna is from the planet Zenith.[2] She has the power of technology and can do technology-related attacks.
Tecna's transformation sequence is also quite unique. Firstly, Tecna punches and strikes the air creating forms with her hands (eventually crossing them like everyone else except Layla), then there is a white flash. Then her one of her arms and one of her legs and her body turn black and green digital wireframes form over them, which create her main outfit, gloves and boots. The same nets then form her chest brooch and helmet. Tecna then flies around into her finishing pose, that is with her hands on her hips, with a triangle boosted by green energy appearing in the background.
Tecna's powers are entirely based on technology and digital energy and occasionally she has been known to control electricity, such as a digital web. She can create shields of green energy which she ironically calls a "Fire Wall", she can also use this technique to trap enemies in a thick band or in a ball. Tecna can create digital cages and walls of techno energy. Tecna can also throw blasts of green energy which can immobilize a person for a short time or cause them to explode. Tecna can create digital holograms and illusions. She can conjure digital traps and wire which can restrain.

[edit] 4Kids changes
She has an English accent in the 4Kids adaptation, but her voice changes in season 3.
tecna's enchantix transfomration senquince is long and detailed. First Tecna's head outline appears buzzing in to the screen, eventually becoming clear to see. then she turns her head forward and the color in her face appears then these crossed lines go around her head, her hair and makeup appear. Then she curls up in a ball the crossed lines still around her. Next she stands up and a ball shaped cage apears around her. There is a white flash and Tecna's shoes come on. her pants then come on, along with her shirt. Tecna's necklace comes on with her barette, whitch then turns into her wings. Another flash happens and Tecna puts her gloves on 1 by 1. Tecna then joins her wings and strikes her final pose.
