[edit] Introduction
Teck Whye Secondary School is a neighbourhood school with the majority of the students from nearby housing estates. The school itself was situated in Jalan Teck Whye for many of years, until it had been relocated to a new building in Teck Whye Cresent, 2002. Of its many aims and goals, the major ones TWSS has in particular strived for is to be value-added and autonomous status.
[edit] Achievements
TWSS has enjoyed collaborations with other schools, such as the merger of their band and Bukit Panjang Government High's. As of 2005, however, both factions have gone their separate ways, thus leading to the conversion of TWSS' military band to a concert band. TWSS has also seen considerable success in other fields of co-curriculum activities. Groups like their dance troupes and Track & Field team have advanced and attained numerous awards at National Level. As of 2007, TWSS has shut down their Scouts troop.
