The original version of "Techno-Cumbia" was recorded for Selena's album Amor Prohibido and was later included in Dreaming of You in a remix version. The track was released as single in late 1995 and resulted a very successful one, debuting at number 13 in the week of October 07, 1995 and peaking at number 4 in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks on the week of November 04.
