Technical Training University of Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City Technical Training University is a university located in number 1, Vo Van Ngan Street, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, 10 km north-east from downtown Ho Chi Minh City. This university provides university-level and college-level education for prospective lecturers in other technical universities. The university also take technical research and workerss' vocational training, cooperation in education with foreign universities.

Ho Minh City Technical Training University was established on the basis of Technical Training Division, which was founded on 5 October 1962 in Saigon. On 21 September 1972, the school was renamed Center for Technical Training of Nguyen Truong To Thu Duc and then was upgraded Education University of Thu Duc in 1974. In 27 October 1976, the Vietnamese signed a decision to establish Thu Duc Technical Training University on the basis of Education University of Thu Duc. In 1984, this university in merged with Thu Duc School of Industry and its name was changed into the name as called today. In 1991, Technical Training University V was merged into Ho Chi Minh City Technical University.
