Talk:Technomancy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A google search for "technomancy" also comes up with pages such as this one [1], which appears to be about a sect of Wicca, or at least an individual or group of people who profess Wicca, who believe that there is magick that affects technology. If this is more than an isolated few web sites, then it probably deserves mention in the article as well. CyborgTosser (Only half the battle) 22:25, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Magitech
Any information on Magitech available? By Magictech I mean teachnology that combines magic and science together, using them as seperate forces in the same thing. This definition helps to seperate it from Alchamy. Corrupt one 00:40, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Paganism?
I removed mention of paganism from the following paragraph, as I have some questions about it.
It is also distinct from Paganism and what is sometimes called "magitech" (technology that uses magic, as used by D.O.L.L.Y in the comic the Wotch.) Alchemy considers magic and science to be two parts of one force. Paganism considers magic and science to be separate forces that can work together in the same process. Technomancy has magic affecting science, but not working in the same process.
I think paganism in this aspect would be involved in the mysticisms, and thus applied as technomancy. Also, Paganism is basically any faith not of the person who is talking about it. It mentions Paganis uses science and magic to be seprate forces that can work together. Paganism does NOT mean that, but if it did, it is still too broad and general to tell us anything. I would like those issuses to be redressed before that is added back to the article. Corrupt one 02:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mass Effect
"In the successful video game title Mass Effect many characters gain magical powers through technology."
Looking at the article there, I noticed it mentioned increased mental abilities, but not magic. I may of missed it. Can anyone tell me where there is MAGIC there? Corrupt one (talk) 23:28, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
