Talk:Technical fellow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I would like to see a more general description of "Technical Fellow". It mentions that IBM has such a program, as does Boeing Commercial Aircraft. Did Microsoft invent this term?

[edit] Notability tag
I removed the notability tag, since this article satisfies the notability guidelines. It covers both notable company and notable people (most, if not all MS technical fellows do deserve article on Wikipedia, and many already have one). The information comes from reliable source - MS web site. Wikiolap 22:50, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- I don't follow your logic. How does Microsoft and some of the people being notable make the topic of Technical Fellow notable? And why is it specific to Microsoft? Don't other companies have similar job titles? Does it in some way conform to the requirements of WP:NOTE? If so, it's not obvious to me how. Some of the fellow also have notability tags (which I placed), since their articles do not yet include citations to the sources needed to establish notability. Many more should probably be tagged similarly. It's best to remove the tag only on adding the required citations. Dicklyon 03:06, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
