TEBA (Southern African Company)

TEBA Limited (The Employment Bureau of Africa) is a company established in 1902, to provide labour recruitment services to the Southern African Mining Sector.

TEBA Limited currently has offices in Southern Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa.

The employee identification scheme used by TEBA (TEBA Industry Number) is frequently used in the South African Mining industry.

In part due to the lower employmee numbers in the South African Mining Industry, TEBA has diversified from labour broker:

  • Transport and Tracing Services (of Employees and their dependents), primarily for the Rand Mutual Assurance Limited.
  • TEBA Bank Limited
