[edit] License tagging for Image:Underpants.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Underpants.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:06, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in The Germs. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Rsm99833 16:21, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A word of caution
Wiki protocol allows for three edits per article during a 24-hour basis. Rather than doing individual edits, try doing all of your edits at once. Use the "preview" button to view your changes, rather than doing them one at a time. Good luck, and welcome to Wiki! Rsm99833 02:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Andyhearse3.JPG listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Andyhearse3.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Changing someone else's comments
Regarding Talk:XM Satellite Radio, you edited someone else's post. Please do not do this, even if the information you modified is correct. It is more appropriate to simply add your own comment correcting the previous post. Changing someone else's entry could be construed as vandalism. Just a (hopefully) helpful note! -- Huntster T • @ • C 15:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Survey Invitation
Hi there, I am a research student from the National University of Singapore and I wish to invite you to do an online survey about Wikipedia. To compensate you for your time, I am offering a reward of USD$10, either to you or as a donation to the Wikimedia Foundation. For more information, please go to the research home page. Thank you. --WikiInquirer 08:50, 3 March 2007 (UTC)talk to me
[edit] Hospice
Hi Teamgoon. I saw your comment about "outdated use of the word hospice". It may be because the word means different things in different countries. Here in the UK, "hospice" *is* almost exclusively used for terminally ill people, and care given to someone in your position would probably not be termed hospice care at all. 86.143.53.61 13:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My use of HOSPICE is correct
I do not keep up with foreign uses of the words we use here in the USA, but The situation is considered a hospice, and the buisiness card for the company even says hospice service. Teamgoon 13:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Happy Telephone
Hi -- you asked on Talk:The Happy Telephone about the issue of verifying sources, and I wanted to let you know that I followed up there to provide some more information. Thanks for your contributions! Tim Pierce 03:08, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sexpistols8track.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Sexpistols8track.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
