Team RAC, run by West Surrey Racing, are a team competing in the British Touring Car Championship. They entered in 2006 using a couple of MGs with Colin Turkington and Rob Collard behind the wheel. Colin took third place in the championship with two wins. They bought some beefy BMW'S for 2007, retaining Colin Turkington and recruiting Clio Cup champion Tom Onslow-Cole. Colin came 5th while Tom came 10th. Colin took three wins at Oulton Park,Croft and Brands Hatch. He was also the first to cross the line at Snetterton but his car was deemed underweight and was substequently disqualified. Tom took advantage of the reversed grid to win at Snetterton helped by a squabble for second between Mat Jackson, Jason Plato, Fabrizio Giovanardi and Matt Neal.[1]
