Team Andromeda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Team Andromeda was one of Sega's internal development teams during the Sega Saturn's lifespan, known for its Panzer Dragoon series. The group was founded in mid-1994 and dissolved soon after the release of Panzer Dragoon Saga in 1998.
After the team disbanded, many of its members moved into Sega's Smilebit and United Game Artists development teams. (It is occasionally reported that some Team Andromeda staff moved to Polyphony Digital, but this is a myth arising from Omega Boost's similarities to Panzer Dragoon.)
In 2003, a further Panzer Dragoon game, Panzer Dragoon Orta, was developed by Smilebit for the Xbox.
