Teacher's Pet is a Tales to Give You Goosebumps short story by R.L. Stine which is about two best friends named Rebecca and Benjie. Becca wants to get their teacher back for making her clean out the snake tanks. They both fear snakes and the situatuion is worse because their teacher is in love with snakes. When they go to the school to let all of the mice out, they discover that their teacher is actually a snake. They promise not to tell anybody his secret as long as they feed their teacher a mouse a day.

The TV adaptation for this episode on the FOX series "Goosebumps" keeps in the premise of two kids (one a boy, the other a girl) discovering that their science teacher is a snake, but there are two differences:

• The two kids discover this on a field trip in the woods.
• The two kids try to destroy the teacher after learning that he is a snake.

Michelle Risi, who played Becca in the television episode, died of meningitis at only 16 years old.
