Talk:TeamAWESOME!

I could certainly (and was planning to) add to this article a bit; since it's my first, it was exhausting to get that little bit there. I'm afraid I don't understand why this is up for deletion. Yes, Still Soft is "amateur," but teamAWESOME! prefers to make their albums in a diy format with hand-made cases and such. Like many other indie bands, they dislike actual labels and the jewel cases that come with them. I could add more links that show that they are known around, including several Italic textnon-amateueItalic text newspaper articles from around the western US. Would that help? - If they've been covered non-trivially in the newspaper, they very well may pass the band notability criteria-multiple non-trivial mentions in reliable sources are the best way to show that any subject is notable, be it a band or any other. You will wish to note, though, that trivial coverage doesn't count-a relatively in-depth review or band biography would be non-trivial, but a quick mention of "Band X is playing at Location Y on Date Z" would not. If you need some assistance in citing the sources, point me to them and I'll help you get them cited. Seraphimblade 05:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I just about doubled the length of the article, hopefully showing they are somewhat notable and have included more links. Does this look better? Now I've got some sources, though they aren't cited via footnote; I'm not sure how much of that is necessary. And I'm not certain how to do it anyway. Thanks Greener grasses 06:08, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- For a short article, an "external links" section does work alright for citations. As it gets longer, footnotes certainly make it easier for readers to determine what reference supports what assertion, but I don't think that's necessary here yet. Some of those sources are unreliable, such as blogs, but I do see two newspaper reviews. Seraphimblade 06:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
