---|---|
Description |
This is a logo owned by Governors of Trinity College School for Trinity College School. It is a historical logo. Its historical usage is as follows: drawn in 1992 by Gordon Macpherson for TCS; all rights transferred to the Governors of TCS. |
Source |
The logo is from the none website.I was given a copy of the CHA letters patent in 1992, and have scanned the coat of arms in from this document |
Article | |
Portion used |
The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image. |
Low resolution? |
yes, for the sake of the Internet. |
Purpose of use |
The image is used to identify the organization Trinity College School, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey. There is commentary in the article about the logo itself as follows: These arms were granted to TCS by the Canadian Heraldic Authority in 1992. They are based on the arms of Alexander Neil Bethune, second Anglican bishop of Toronto, which TCS had used since the early twentieth century..I am using the coat of arms to illustrate TCS's entry on Wikipedia, just as the entries for almost every other university, college, or private school show those institutions' coats of arms or corporate seals. |
Replaceable? |
There's only one official coat of arms, the one drawn by Gordon Macpherson and used here. |
Other information | TCS does not jealously guard the use of its coat of arms; in fact, it is grateful for the exposure. |
