[edit] Biography

Taylor Hanson is the second eldest child of Clarke Walker Hanson (born June 1, 1954) and Diana Frances Hanson (née Lawyer, born April 30, 1954). He is one of 7 children, his siblings being: Clarke Isaac (born November 17, 1980); Zachary Walker (born October 22, 1985); Jessica Grace (born July 31, 1988); Avery Laurel (born November 4, 1990); Joshua Mackenzie (born January 7, 1994) and Zoë Genevieve (born January 14, 1998).

Taylor sings and plays keyboards with the band Hanson. He and his older brother, Isaac, started the band, initially known as The Hanson Brothers (later changed to just 'Hanson'), in 1992. Isaac was eleven, Taylor nine, and Zac six. They performed as an a cappella group outside clubs in their hometown of Tulsa. On May 6, 1997, the band released their first studio album, Middle of Nowhere, on a major record label, Mercury Records. The first single, "MMMBop", made it to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. May 6 has been declared "Hanson Day" in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, in honor of the release of Middle of Nowhere.

[edit] Personal life

Taylor met his wife, Natalie Anne Bryant, after a performance in Atlanta, GA in August 2000, during Hanson's This Time Around Tour. They were introduced by one of the band's roadies. After dating for two years, 19 year old Taylor and Natalie, then 18, were married on June 8, 2002 at the Ida Cason Chapel in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It was a quick engagement, as Natalie was already 5 months pregnant with their first child. The couple have three children: Jordan Ezra (October 31, 2002), Penelope Anne (April 19, 2005), and River Samuel (September 4, 2006).

Taylor's siblings include Clarke Isaac Hanson, Zachary Walker Hanson, Jessica Grace Hanson, Avery Laurel Hanson, Joshua Mackenzie Hanson, and Zoë Genevieve Hanson. His sisters, Jessica and Avery were born in Venezuela, while younger brother Zac was born in Arlington, Virginia. He, Isaac, their younger brother Mackenzie, and youngest sister Zoë were all born in Tulsa. Taylor also has two nephews, the first, Clarke Everett Hanson, by brother Isaac Hanson and the second, John Ira Shepherd Hanson, born May 27, 2008, by brother Zac Hanson and wife Kate. Most recently, Zac announced during a radio interview that Isaac and his wife Nikki are expecting their second child due in June 2008.[1].
