Taylah is the daughter of Brad Jordan (Erinsborough Newspaper Editor) and best friend of Jessica Wallace. Her mother ran off with another man when Taylah was 11. Taylah makes her debut with Jess, who are at the local pool with school one day, and see Bridget Parker, who was undergoing physio after her hit-and-run by Susan Kinski, who had been suffering from MS. The girls try to be polite, then, noticing a good looking guy, started chatting about how hot he is and how it was a shame he is in a wheelchair. The guy, Josh Taylor, who had previously befriended Bridget, started telling Jess and Taylah how brave they were to continue living their lives, despite their condition. The two girls, slightly confused, finally left the two of them alone.
A couple of months later, things begin to spice up for Jessica and Taylah who soon see potential love interests amongst Ringo Brown and Zeke Kinski. After the season final depicts the Erinsborough teens amongst an illegal warehouse dance party, the roof breaks loose, and collapses amongst them. All survive but Jessica Wallace, leaving Taylah devastated, yet this marks the beginning of her romance with Zeke.

Being a loyal friend, Taylah was there to help when Jess developed a huge crush on Ringo Brown, whose girlfriend, Rachel Kinski, who was away for two weeks in Canberra. After managing to spend some time alone with Ringo in detention, Jess called him that evening, saying she was upset and claiming to have had a bad experience on a date with a random guy. Ringo met her at the General Store to comforted her and, as they got up to leave, Jess quickly kissed him, while Taylah took a photo, and then Jess apologised. Ringo quickly told her it was fine, and left, and Jess made her way over to Taylah's table to see the photo, and the pair thought of a plan to use it to split up Rachel and Ringo. Later, thinking Rachel and Ringo were over for good, Jess was horrified to see the pair kissing and making up in the General Store and sent the photo to Rachel's phone later on that evening. After Rachel confronted Ringo, he went to see her in the General Store the next day, where Jess managed to pass the blame to Taylah, who was happy to lie, claiming that she thought Jess and Ringo would make the perfect couple, the new Brangalina and would do anything to split him up from Rachel.

In the 2007 finale, Taylah, Jess, Ringo, Declan Napier, and new boyfriend Zeke Kinski attend an illegal party at a warehouse, when the roof collapsed. In the 2008 premiere, it was revealed she, along with Ringo, Declan and Zeke survived the collapse. Jess died from her injuries, leaving Taylah devastated.

After Rachel's relationship with her teacher, Angus, was discovered Rachel ran away from home. Rachel blamed her step-mother for driving her boyfriend away from her and this caused her to run away. Rachel was shown with little money and waiting outside a cinema. Taylah found Rachel there and took her home where Rachel met Taylah's father and how overprotective he was over Taylah. Taylah tricked Rachel into going him out of concern as she is dating Rachel's brother.

Recently Taylah's cousin Ty Harper arrived in Ramsay Street. She has been trying to get him together with Rachel Kinksi. Rachel however has not been enthusiastic about the idea of being with Ty.
[edit] Boarding school and breakup
In this week of neighbours, Taylah and Zeke go to the school formal together but when Taylah reveals that her father is sending her to boarding school they decide that it's better to end their relationship.
