Tay Ping Hui (simplified Chinese: 郑斌辉; pinyin: Zhèng Bīnghuī; born 10 November 1970) is a Singaporean Chinese actor. He is best known for his roles in television dramas on MediaCorp TV Channel 8, although he also appeared in a few movies, including Infernal Affairs 2 and Summer Holiday. He first attended the Catholic High School before doing his degree at the Arts & Social Sciences faculty of National University of Singapore.

After starring in his first drama, On the Edge - Mr Personality (边缘档案之 - 风度翩翩先生) in 1998, he rose rapidly to fame starring in drama Stepping Out (出路) in 1999, opposite leading actress Zoe Tay in My Home Affairs (家事) in 2000, and as a police officer in The Reunion in 2001. He made a foray into the English showbiz as the male lead in Channel 5's A War Diary, and also performed in stage performances such as Butterflies Are Free in 2001.

A former model, he has a mixed reputation in the local entertainment industry. Starting off strongly early in his acting career with a Star Awards win in the Best Supporting Actor category in 1999 for his role in Stepping Out, and earning enough public votes for a win in the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award in Years 2000 and 2001. He failed to garner any nomination in 2002, and dropped out of the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award, not helped by reports of his arrogance.

Still, he came back strongly, returning to the list as one of the Top Ten Most Popular Male Artistes in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and continues to get coveted roles in major productions by MediaCorp, such as The Unbeatables III (双天至尊III) in 2002, Love is Beautiful and A Child's Hope in 2003 and Destiny in 2005. In 2003, he was the only male local actor to be nominated in Yahoo South-east Asia's Singaporean of the Year polls [1].
