Tawny Gray

Tawny Gray, born Toin Adams in 1965 in Kitwe, Zambia, is a sculptor working in steel, acrylic, fiberglass and other media. She spent her early childhood in eastern Zimbabwe, and late teen years, from 1980, in South Africa, where she attended an experimental school devoted to the visual and performing arts. In 1985 she moved to England, where she began her career in sculpting.
Her largest work to date is the 40 foot (12 meter) high sculpture, The Green Man, commissioned in 2002 by the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham.
In 2007 she changed her name back to Toin Adams.
