[edit] Re: Yorktown Theatre
OK, perhaps saying 'screw the theatre' was just unprofessional, but I deleted the entire Theatre section because it helped contribute in a large way to the general un-encyclopaedic nature of the page. Did you look at the revisions I did before? it contained several sections that were just stupid fan-bait on the part of some random theatre kid: "While the entire department is decaying and the fire marshal and OSHA gets on the department for numerous violations, the continuing hope of Cadby that the department will get a new theatre "in 5 years" and the sheer adoration of the students for Cadby keeps the actors and techies making the insane sacrifices for theatre that give the department the prominance that it so richly deserves." wtf?, to say the least. And let's see, what about the 'secret passages' bull: "This freedom has also been abused, as the techies branch out to discover the secret tunnels and passageways that spiderweb through the theatre. Since the threatre is designed with sloping walls but occupies a square space on the blueprint, secret rooms and passages (including an infamous "sex room" and a way to access the second floor book storage room) liter the department. The most extensive of these tunnels are the sump pump pipe maintenance access corridors, affectionately knows as the catacombs, accessed from the "drop room" at the back of the scene shop. The network travels under the school and leads to several manholes to the outside world, and also includes a fair sized room of unknown purposed, first discovered by the urban spelunkers Master Carpenter T. Nielson and his apprentice J. Nardolilli after they had broken back into the department once Cadby had left for the day. Using credit cards to pick the lock (an essential skill most techies pick up) and prop lanterns that were modified by the electrical department to work as flashlights for light, the expedition epitomised all that makes technical theatre so special for Yorktown."
Can anyone tell me that stuff is actually real? because I'd find it most amusing. Wikipedia is not a place for Nardolilli and Nielson to screw around with their fantasies. You can have the Yorktown theatre page, but keeping it off the main page would benifit everyone.
