[edit] Edwin Taylor Pollock

I've just completed an article on Edwin Taylor Pollock, one of the three governors of American Samoa during that territory's Mau movement. As you contributed to that section, can you look over my work and let me know if I have any major gaps or recommend additional research material that I can draw from? Hi JRP

I don't know how to answer your email so I am editing it, hopefully you see this response... Feel free to send me your paper. It's May now so probably it's quite late for you... In any case, best wishes

[edit] Samoan Islands

I reverted your edits to Samoan Islands dated May 7th because of major formatting issues, the bulk of it lacking explicit citations, and considerable overlap with either the Samoa and American Samoa articles or coverage of either of those topics in such depth that it might have warranted coverage there, but not in the more general topic. Because of the citation issues and the slightly astandard tone of the article, I was initially afraid that it might be a WP:COPYVIO, although I found no evidence of this upon further review. Also, I spotted a couple of lines that hint at WP:NPOV issues, such as the largely unexplained & slightly overreaching statement: The indigenous land issue is vital for all Pacific Islands and speculation such as it is the influence of these ties that will probably most determine how the Samoa Islands develop politically.

Check out WP:STYLE for the Wikipedia's style guide, and give it another shot. Also, if you'd like to draft a new version of the article without overwriting the current one with your work in progress, you may do so in a sandbox. Follow this link: User:Taulapapa/Samoan Islands to create a temporary draft on a page that's unlikely to attract any unwanted attention prior to publication. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. MrZaiustalk 12:39, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
