As such the local facilities that they used were not sufficient for professional football, they relocated to Wiesbaden and become known as SV Wehen-Wiesbaden.
The team is sponsored by one of the major companies of the area Brita, with the founder of Brita Heinz Hankammer being the chairman of the football club. As such, they have funds available which have allowed them to punch above their weight for many years, now gaining promotion into the professional leagues.
