"After the discovery of the Ancient Outpost in Antarctica, the signatory members of the Antarctic Treaty also had to be included because of international law..." [edit] NID is not National Intelligence Department
I know nothing about Wikicode and I can't actually source this, so I'm only posting it here, but the NID is not the National Intelligence Department. The RPG rulebook is not canon (those things always add info to a universe to make a more detailed gameplay), and it has been stated in at least one DVD commentary (I don't remember which one, but I think Ronny Cox was one of the commenters) that NID doesn't actually stand for anything, at least not according to actual canon. --Nathaniel —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.42.170.126 (talk) 07:15, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Why is there a UN flag in the section about the IOA? Does anyone have a good reason, or is it just because its "international" so go ahead and put a UN flag up? 65.96.38.93 (talk) 08:09, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- I believe the Atlantis expedition was set up under some kind of UN oversight. But most of the countries in the world still don't know about the Stargate, so it'd have to be a very special committee. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.9.201.154 (talk) 21:48, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
