Tataouine Governorate

Tataouine Governorate (Arabic: ولاية تطاوين‎) is one of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. It is situated in southern Tunisia, bordering Algeria and Libya. It is the largest Tunisian governorate and covers an area of 38,889 km² and has a population of 144,000 (2004 census). The capital is Tataouine.
