Tashkent State University of Economics

Tashkent State University of Economics (TSEU) (Uzbek: Toshkent Davlat Iqtisodiyot Universiteti; Russian: Ташкентский государственный экономический университет) is a public, national university in Uzbekistan. Founded in 1931 as Tashkent State Institute of Finance and Economics, it was renamed in 1991 to Tashkent State University of Economics.
With roughly 10,000 students, TSEU is one of the largest economic universities in Central Asia and is divided into several functional institutes that strive to provide a base of education regarding the economics of Uzbekistan. TSEU was the first international American-style business school in Uzbekistan and has gained note by building relationships with notable universities in the USA, Great Britain and Germany. It also maintains the largest university library in Central Asia.
TSEU employs more than six hundred teachers, three academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Republic Uzbekistan, an academician of Academy of the Humanities of the Russian Federation, an academician of Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan, two academicians and three member-correspondents of the International Academy of Work and Employment, over fifty doctors of sciences and roughly three hundred candidates of sciences are working at the University.
