Natasha 'Tasha' Hunter (née Andrews) was a fictional character on the Australian television soap opera series Home and Away. The character was played by actress Isabel Lucas.
[edit] Plot summary
When Tasha first debuted, she only spoke pig latin and wasn't used to living among common people, as she was adopted into a family of survivalists. Tasha was then taken in by Irene Roberts, has learned that the sinister Angie Russell was her birth mother, has survived a plane crash along with other Summer Bay residents, and has fallen in love with and even married the off-beat Robbie Hunter in a ceremony that took place in 2005. Later in 2005, she joined a cult called The Believers in Sydney, leaving Robbie behind.
Tasha began to regret joining the cult after she and her friend Martha MacKenzie were kidnapped and Tasha became pregnant after being apparently raped by Jonah Abraham, the son of cult leader Mumma Rose, who had planned this so that a 'chosen one' would be born.
Tasha eventually left The Believers after police intervention, but Mumma Rose wouldn't give up that easily. Tasha gave birth to the baby girl she had always hoped for however had great difficulties adapting to becoming a mother at such a young age. Her husband Robbie, who believed that he was not Ella's biological father, seemed to care about Ella more than Tasha did. Robbie, who considers Ella his own, finally got through to Tasha as she realised that she really did love her baby girl and couldn't imagine life without her. After escaping from prison, Mumma Rose instructed group member Charity to get close to Tasha once again and kidnap the baby for a ceremonial purification ritual. The plan was foiled once again and Mumma Rose was jailed, in the process suffering a mental breakdown.
Following the drama with the cult and Robbie's acquittal of murdering his terminally ill grandfather, Graham Walters, Tasha, Robbie and Ella moved to the United States after being invited to live there by Angie's cousin Josie.
It was revealed in September 2007 that Jonah was not Ella's father as he is in fact sterile.
It is rumored she will return in 2008.
