A tag has been placed on Highland and Gaelic Society, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 16:53, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sports Car

Please do not keep adding the Category:Sports cars to vehicles that are racing cars, since they are already appropriatly tagged in Category:Racing cars. Sports Cars should only refer to production vehicles that are road legal, of which there are none for the Aston Martin DBR9, Aston Martin DBR1, Aston Martin DBR2, and Aston Martin DB3. [edit] Commercial use of Image:AllianceChegue.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:AllianceChegue.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:AllianceChegue.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:AllianceChegue.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Highland Society deletion, part 3

(copied from my talk page)

Not sure what i have to do to get a response to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:JDoorjam#Highland_Society_Deletion

Actually, I did reply, a while ago. As I said on my talk page,
The Highland and Gaelic Society article was deleted because I agreed with the sentiment of the editor who nominated it for speedy deletion: the group does not meet Wikipedia's notability standards. Having reviewed the content of the article just now, I stand by that decision. If you would like to appeal for undeletion, you may do so at deletion review. Again, I do not believe personally that the article should be undeleted, but am willing to assist you in posting at DRV if you so desire (though you will most likely find the process rather straightforward).
Please let me know if you have any questions. JDoorjam JDiscourse 19:25, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:OSCC col sm.jpg.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:OSCC col sm.jpg.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:04, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:OSCC col sm.jpg.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:OSCC col sm.jpg.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:03, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
