[edit] License tagging for Image:Check mark 23x20 03.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Check mark 23x20 03.gif. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:04, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unicode symbols
Each of your Unicode symbols, e.g. , has this template:
- {{SVG}}
Which puts it in 'Category:Images that should be in SVG format' (in the 2nd and 3rd set of 2000).
As there are so many and fill up the category, I am changing them to have:
- {{ShouldBeSVG|symbol}}
To put them in 'Category:Symbol images that should be in SVG format'.
However, it would be easier to change them to SGV. I don't have a SGV editor, but I was wondering if you could help out?

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Inva_Mulla_Tchako_03.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Inva_Mulla_Tchako_03.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 21:11, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pronunciation (Bangla) :
Please stop adding the lenghty explanation. The IPA version is already there, no need to bloat the pages Bangladesh, Bengali language etc. Thanks. --Ragib 05:42, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Please stop vandalism. I clearly explained to you that your additions are redundant. --Ragib 06:01, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Ragib 06:03, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
I don't know why, but you're leaving your opinion/comment about this on many different pages. Whereas, we should have discussed about this disagreement between us, either in your or my talk page.
And i'm requesting to you (wikipedia member: Ragib), please do not dis-include my changes. If there is a better or similar paragraph with same meaning, then my paragraph is not needed, otherwise simply, please do not dis-include my paragraph. If you dis-include, your action will be considered vandalism by wikipedia. Next step, we can discuss about this issue more in an RFC from Wikipedia vandalism related rules/policy.
Below is the paragraph what i have added in "Bangladesh" page :
Actual pronunciation of "Bangladesh" is ... bäng-lä-desh ("Bung-laa-de-sh"), letter "a" in the "Bang" is pronounced like the word "Bungalow"(single story house), or like the letter "a" in the words "art" or "fathar". "La" is pronounced like the beginning of the word "Lunch" or "Lava". And the letter "e" in the "desh" is pronounced like the "e" in the words "end" or "met".
Below paragraph is for "Bengali Language" Page :
Actual pronunciation of the word "Bangla" is ... bäng-lä ("Bung-laa") ... letter "a" in the "Bang" is pronounced like the beginning of the word "Bungalow"(single story house), or like the letter "a" in the words "art" or "fathar". "La" is pronounced like the beginning of the word "Lunch" or "Lava".

Continuing after our previous conversation (Tarikash (Talk), Ragib (Talk), Bangladesh (Talk), Bengali Lanuage (Talk)) ... IPA characters are not visible in IE(Internet Explorer) unless you have modified it to use unicode fonts, no regular user knows how to do that. So more than 70% people on internet cannot see many characters used in the IPA/unicode, instead they see a ractangular blank box in that character place, that is why we need to explain things in another alternative way. To make a clear conception of correct pronunciation, using example of different words, as well as IPA, is completely fine, and in my opinion, even better. Using only IPA, doesn't clarify the pronunciation. When all browser software will be totally unicode compatible and all users starts to use that type of browser then IPA alone may be enough.
- Tarikash 10:06, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Many doesn't know how to read / interpret IPA into pronounceable words, that is why dictionary, and we still use reference to commonly known easy words, to make the word pronunciation easy and correct.

Request to wikipedian Idleguy, please stop removing the pronunciation paragraph from Bangladesh page. thanks.

[edit] test2?
Rather than applying test2 indiscriminately, would you please come to talk? Idleguy and I both explained the fallacy of your un-encyclopedic "pronunciation" guide. Please stop adding that back. Thanks. --Ragib 11:34, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Stop
Do not add any more bogus vandalism warnings. Do not make unsubstantiated threats of account revokings. It is utterly untrue and just plain bad-faith (and that's an administrator you're accusing of vandalism, too). Stop reverting endlessly, and try actual consensus first. For violating the 3RR rule and this disruption, you have been blocked for 48 hours. If you continue the behavior after the block expires, the block will be extended. A request for mediation was filed with available active Wikipedia Mediator.
You (Dmcdevit) have violated the ethics of an SysOp/Admin of Wikipedia. You haven't tried to solve the issue with me, instead, you have reverted the paragraph, and warned me in a wrong fashion other than mentioned in the Wikipedia rules, you have blocked my account also. Do you still deserve the privilage of a SysOp/Admin ? Have you followed the rules properly ? In my opinion, NO.
lets start to exchange our opinion on this issue. Pronunciation paragraph of Bangladesh & Bengali Language

[edit] Help with tables?
I was just wondering if you could help me. I checked out some of your pages on tables but i couldn't figure out how to do what i would like to do from them. Right now i've been going to different country entries and revamping their administrative division sections by including images if they are not already included. I just added one to the Guyana article. My problem is this: I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the image of guyana to "hug" the numbered list to it's left--that is without leaving about an inch gap between the first region "Barima-waini" and the sentence above it, "Guyana is divided into 10 regions:". Is there any way that you could fix it for me so i can take a look at what you did, and leave a comment or two here on what i need to do? b_cubed 05:47, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- thanks for asking. just fixed that. is that what you wanted ? if you want to move the picture further right side then, place <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">width="100%" after this code <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">{| and a space. also place <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">align="right"| before the image's code <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">[[Image:...]]. thanks. ~Tarikash 06:36, 10 August 2006 (UTC).

- thanks for the help =) b_cubed 14:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Could you check out Algeria and it's Provinces? I'm still working on tables for various countries administrative divisions. One question i have now is how would i space out the columns a bit? I think the way I edited it today makes it look a lot better, my main problem comes with Bordj Bou Arréridj (on the first column). It just looks too close to #27 Mila. Thanks b_cubed 18:05, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- fixed that, is that what you wanted ? you're becoming expert too, great. i've used <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;"> in beteween the words (at #11, #34, #38) or at the end, so that the last words don't goto the next line, (that is, disabled word wrap), when viewer's browser window is smaller. you may need to use more to keep the (bigger) words in the same line, if you want to. thanks. ~Tarikash 23:59, 11 August 2006 (UTC).

- welcome. fixed Albania page. To place pic in the middle, use <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">vertical-align: middle; (CSS properties code) for the <ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">style (parameter). If the pic width is 130 then, good idea would be to keep the table cell's width 132 or 130. thanks. ~Tarikash 02:05, 14 August 2006 (UTC).
-
I've changed your pictures' / images' positioning values into "<ttstyle="border: 1px dashed #2f6fab; background-color: #f9f9f9; padding: 1px;">center", as they are inside a cell of a table (and the table-cell have fixed width already specified), they should be centered, (or, not used at all,) instead of right aligned, unless specifically needed for a different page/paragraph layout, or, outside of a Table (Wiki or HTML). Positioning value can be kept "right", when we want to keep some space in its left side, by specifying extra width values in the table cell's width. Some web browsers places the picture at the right side, near the scroll bar or window border, if they find the "right" positioning value. And some browsers ignores that. Thus it causes different appearance. So its better to be specific, to keep that part of the page, appearing same, even across different web browsers. thanks. ~Tarikash 04:09, 14 August 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Y.OzFontN
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Y.OzFontN, because another editor is suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. B. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:London 86 group small.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:London 86 group small.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

- Are you sure you confirmed your email before? When you put your email address into your user preferences, it would have sent you an email with a link, and you had to click on that link to confirm that that's your email address. If you didn't, there might not be a way to log in and you might have to create a new account with a new name (unless maybe you can prove it's your account -- I'm not sure if there's a procedure for that or not.) I don't know whether it would tell you. Does it say that email has been sent? In response to this edit, you might wish to know that you don't have to link to everything manually. Fortunately, we have a template developed which does that automatically for us: Template:Quran-usc. If I write {{Quran-usc|2|256}}, the result is: [Qur'an 2:256], thus there is no need to locate the link from the USC-MSA website itself. Convenient, eh? :-) ITAQALLAH 23:58, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
