[edit] License tagging for Image:Erzurum Kongresi3.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Erzurum Kongresi3.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:07, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name of Turkey
I don't think it's a wise decision to paste the entire article from Name of Turkey to History of the Turkish People. Much of the original article of Name of Turkey actually does not talk about the "Turks" as an ethnic group, but about the NAMES that had been historically conferred on the land we now call "Turkey". I totally disagree with putting all this information under "History of the Turkish People". It is rather, about the land, or country, not about the people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bestlyriccollection (talk • contribs) 06:10, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Names of Turkey
The article "Names of Turkey" is not exactly about the history of the Anatolian Turkish nation, or the history of the citizenry of the Turkish republic, or about the Turkic family of peoples. The subject of the NAMES of the land we now call "Asia Minor" or "Anatolia" or "Turkey", is however strongly connected to the aforementioned histories of these different categories of people. However, it is PRIMARILY about the LAND. It is a land which not only has to do with the Anatolian Turkish Nation, but also to the Hittites, Byzantines and some others. This is the land that was referred to as "Rum" when it was ruled by the Seljuq Sultanate while Central Asians immigrate and mingled with a multifaith population that spoke tongues as diverse as Capadoccian Greek, Anatolian Turkish and other languages as well. Also, this is the land referred to as "Asia" or "The Orient" by the Byzantines and the Romans in a narrow sense. As we know it today, it is still "Anadolu", "Asia Minor" when we discuss of it in geographic terms. Although we did cease using names such as "Rum". Bestlyriccollection (talk)
