A Dutch citizen, Tarry Singh has been working with various technologies since 1991 . He specializes in several technologies with Oracle and Virtualization being his favorite technologies. He is a respected expert and a cvolumnist for Jupitermedia Inc. He also speaks in seminars and conducts multi-cultural workshops at international and regional levels. Prior to IT , he has been engaged in maritime profession for 9 odd years. He has worked for large multinational firms such as NOL/NSSPL, NYK, Maersk, P&O. Netherlands.

Previous positions include Applications Manager, Oracle DBA, Independent/freelance Database Consultant (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). He has done several migration projects, the last being a mission critical application (Blackboard LMS) for a large University. Tarry's interests include Oracle, Linux, Java, Google, Virtualization (Storage, Networking, OS), Clustering and Load Balancing. He also runs a blog TarryBlogging where he talks passionately about Virtualization, Storage, and Market developments to name a few.

In his spare time, Tarry enjoys teaching, IT and non-IT topics, bodybuilding and singing.
