Taryne Mowatt

Taryne Mowatt was an All-American pitcher for the University of Arizona, and was recently drafted by the National Pro Fastpitch team Washington Glory. In the 2007 Women's College World Series, she led the Arizona Wildcats to their second consecutive and eighth overall national softball title. Mowatt was born on September 12, 1986 to Larry and Suzie Mowatt in Corona, California.
Mowatt's collegiate career was marked by a junior season where she pitched 27 games with double digit strikeouts, including three no hitters, and was victorious in a bid for the national title. For her 60 inning, 76 strikeout performance in the 2007 WCWS, she was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player and won two ESPYs; Best Female Athlete and Best Female College Athlete.
