Tarset

It is part of the parish of Thorneyburn.[1]

It is 4 miles west-north-west of Bellingham. In 1831, its population was 169.[2] In 1968, its population was 149.[1]

The Border Counties Railway used to stop in Tarset. Passenger and freight service ended when the line was closed in 1958. [3]
