Tariq Mahmood was a Pakistani British alleged to have ties to al-Qaeda, who was reportedly captured by American forces in Islamabad in October 2003.[1][2]
Human Rights Watch listed him as one of 39 "disappeared" detainees in 2005, whose whereabouts were unknown since being captured and sent to the CIA.[3]
