[edit] Plot
Chris Lloyd is a young man attempting to make his way in the world, although his parents disapprove. As such, his relationship with them is strained, and when his mother, Donna, goes on vacation to Paris, he's reluctant to stay with his father, Walter. Chris thinks of Walter as a working-class stiff, about as much a man of action as Mr. Magoo. But at Donna's behest, the two stay together in an attempt to bond. Things go awry when Walter gets a call late at night that Donna's been kidnapped. When Walter formulates a plan to get her back, Chris insists on going with. Once in Europe, the pair enter a web of intrigue twenty years in the making, and Chris discovers that his father is more than he appears to be.
