Taraxacum californicum is an endangered species of dandelion endemic to California where it is found only in the San Bernardino Mountains. The plant's common name is California dandelion. This is a small perennial wildflower which resembles its close relative, the widespread weed known as the common dandelion. It has green, red-veined, lobed or toothed leaves and yellow flower heads yielding brown fruits with white pappus.
