Tarai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party (Nepali: तराई-मधेश लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टी) is a political party in Nepal, formed by former Minister for Science and Technology and Nepali Congress leader Mahantha Thakur. The foundation of the party was announced on December 27, 2007.[1][2] The party has four members in the interim parliament (including Thakur).[3]

On December 31, 2007, a Central Working Committee of the party was formed, chaired by Thakur. Other members are Hridayesh Tripathi, Mahendra Prasad Yadav, Ram Chandra Raya, Sarbendra Nath Shukla, Anish Ansari, Ram Chandra Kushwaha, Brishesh Chandra Lal, Srikrishna Yadav, Govinda Prasad Chaudhary, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Ram Kumar Sharma, Jitendra Sonal, Bishwanath Saha, Satyawati Kurmi, Kritaram Kumhal, Dilip Singh and Sheikh Chandtara.[4]

The party obtained 3.35 per cent of the votes in the 2008 Constituent Assembly election.[5]
