Tara Newley (born October 12, 1963), is a singer and the daughter of actress Joan Collins and singer Anthony Newley. Born Tara Cynara Newley in New York City, United States she studied at Boston University. A sister to Sascha Newley, she returned to London when her parents' seven year marriage ended in 1970 and her mother married the head of The Beatles label Apple Records, Ron Kass. That marriage produced a half-sister, Katie.
Tara tried her hand at TV presenting and even entered the UK Singles chart in the mid 1990s. She was married to the French composer Michael Adam with whom she had a daughter, Miel Celeste born in 1998. The couple are now divorced.
Her aunt is the novelist Jackie Collins.
