Tara LaRosa of Woodstown, New Jersey[1] is a professional female mixed martial arts fighter currently fighting in the BodogFight. She's the Bodog Fight 135 lbs champion. She recently defeated HOOKnSHOOT 125 lbs champion Cody Welchin in a non title fight at a HOOKnSHOOT/Bodog Fight co-sponsored event. She is widely considered the top female Mixed Martial Arts fighter holding wins over other top Mixed Martial Arts fighters including of note Amanda Buckner.
Tara has stated that Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme movies were an early inspiration for her to get involved with mixed martial arts.
Tara's boyfriend, SFC Adrian M Elizalde was killed on August 23, 2007 when an IED hit his truck in Iraq.
