Tara Chand is a prominent algoza player of Punjab, India who performs along with Kuldip Manak. He lives in Ludhiana. With the advent of MTV culture in India, traditional cultural music has either declined in terms of popularity or artists who can perform are hard to find.

Tara Chand has made efforts to revive Algoza tradition in rural Punjab. He has performed Solo-Heer Ranjha on Algoza.
