This article is intended to be complementary to the article on Impalement arts. My proposal is for this piece to concentrate on representations of target girls, iconography and examples from art, film, literature and so on. The Impalement arts article will deal specifically with real (as opposed to fictional or artistic) instances. Circusandmagicfan 18:41, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Circusandmagicfan

In a slight re-think of the above, I see this article as a sort of bridge between The Impalement Arts and the article on Magicians' assistants. The link between impalement arts and magicians assistants isn't a clear one but there is a clear linkage between impalement arts and target girls and a clear linkage between target girls and magicians' assistants. Whilst it might be argued that a lot of the content here could be rolled into the main impalement arts article I think that there are several good reasons to keep the two articles separate. Even if, as I am now thinking, the impalement arts article might gain sections on media and fictional representations, the two articles will have differing perspectives. This article can deal specifically with the iconography of the target girl (including parallels with magicians assistants) and with specific examples such as biographies and imagery of target girls. The impalement arts article will focus on the portrayal of the impalement arts more generally (including, for example, whether acts in films and TV have been faked).21:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Circusandmagicfan
