[edit] Bookkeeper theft incident
In March 2007, it was discovered that money was missing from a student account funded by the sale of Chick-fil-A biscuits. After a questioning, bookkeeper Darleen Gable admitted to the theft of nearly $5,000. Gable also robbed the Critter Club, an animal-focused extracurricular activity, of an unspecified amount of money. On May 24, 2007, Gable was arrested at her home in Dallas and was booked, then released on bond. Gable's trial began on October 20, 2007. [1]
