Tapio Hämäläinen

Eemil Tapio "Tapsa" Hämäläinen (b. 18 June 1922, in Uukuniemi, Finland – died 28 January 2008, Helsinki Finland) was a Finnish actor. He was a theater consellor.

The best known roles of Hämäläinen were as Salo in the Tuntematon sotilas (The Unknown Soldier) and counsellor Tuura in the Uuno Turhapuro films. Tapio Hämäläinen has appeared also in many television programs, such as Naapurilähiö. Hämäläinen lended his voice to The Hemulen, Police and The Groke of Moomin-TV series.

Hämäläinen acted as Uuno Turhapuro's father-in-law Councillor Tuura altogether in 17 Turhapuro-films. Hämäläinen doesn't appear in the film Johtaja Uuno Turhapuro - pisnismies (1998), but Heikki Nousiainen did Tuura's role. Hämäläinen was already totally tired of Tuura's role in the 1990s, shooting of Turhapuro-films during in the five years one after another (1990-1994) and mainly also in the spring 1996 filmed 23-volume television programs has an influence on this.
