Tape image

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the field of computer emulation, tape image is an image of a program which was distributed on tapes. In the old days of computing, applications were distributed on cartridges, floppy disks or cassette tapes. Many computers such as the TI-99/4A, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, et al had a cassette tape drive add-on.

A tape image is nothing more than the contents of a computer tape which has been dumped to a file.
