[edit] This article

I'm at a loss. This is the second time I've tried to write an article about Taproot Audio Design. Yes, this is my studio. It is categorized under recording studios and I see no difference in my article and the countless other studios under the "category" of Recording Studios. Much like most of the studios listed in Wikipedia, I am the only one employed here (owner/engineer/producer/accountant/janitor/etc.), so I am responsible for its history along with the bands I work for. I can understand that it seems to be self-promotion. I don't see any other way of listing it other than listing my history with discography.

Outside help would be greatly appreciated.

  • You really need to read WP:CORP, WP:MUSIC, WP:RS and WP:COI. Right now I see no reason that this article should be here. Comparing this to other articles is not helpful. Not meeting the above policies is a cause for deletion. Vegaswikian (talk) 03:50, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Restoring COI tag

I'm restoring the COI tag. Until the article is rewritten using only reliable, verifiable, 3rd-party information as a starting point, COI remains. I've given the author some guidance on his user talk page. Step 1 is to make sure the company is indeed notable enough to be here, and if it isn't, then do what it takes in the real world to get noticed. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:27, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Recommend references be split off

References should be made as footnotes see WP:CITE for help. The "References" section should consist only of {{reflist}} plus any references that were used but not done up properly as footnotes. The latter should eventually be removed and replaced by footnotes. External Links are for interesting links that are of interest but which weren't used as references. Take care to avoid the appearance of advertising. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 19:15, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Did I get this right?

Are the printed and online articles in Perilloux, Gary, Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, printed September 3, 2002, Mastering Music, Recording Veteran Opens Oxford Studio, p. A1, online as MONDAY for TUESDAY Reed mastering studio: Mastering music, December 11, 2003, retrieved 2008-05-12 one and the same? If not, it should be split into two references. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

  • That's the one. Thanks. I'll try to find some other articles, etc.
