[edit] The Origins of Tanmay Bangalore's Name
"Tanmay," in Sanskrit, means "Lost in Meditation," and is another name for Hanuman, the son of Anjana.
There is a long story to Tanmay's last name. Tanmay's father's great-grandfather was a popular judge in Bangalore. He settled many cases and, due to his popularity, began to be called "Judge Bangalore." For reasons still unknown, he changed his last name from an unknown name to "Bangalore."
[edit] The Stories of Tanmay Bangalore
Tanmay has written many stories for one of his favorite classes: Journalism. To date, he has written short stories called "The Seven Robbers," "Origins," and a ridiculously long story called "Under the Rug." Tanmay's writing style is an annoyingly cynical style that critcizes many things.
[edit] The Seven Robbers
The Seven Robbers is a follow up story to the popular children's book Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
[edit] Summary
In The Seven Robbers, the Seven Dwarves strike again as theives who rob the royal treasury to avenge the death of their house and to finalize their hatred against Snow White. The Dwarves finally steal Snow White's Bentley Continental Flying Spur to make their escape as the crime scene is raided by a SWAT Team.
[edit] Origins
Origins was written as the prequel to Tanmay's story "Under the Rug."
[edit] Summary
Origins describes the origins of John and George, two orphans who die during a type of apocalypse-end of the world. In Origins, The two boys' father, Harold, takes up a job as the assistant of a maniacal scientist named Bob. Bob manages to resurrect a dead human and ends up with a demonic being. This turn of events has a striking resembelance Herbert West - Reanimator, a short story by the popular horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, a writer who Tanmay is an avid fan of. However, the body soon becomes good but plays a minor part in the story.
Harold reurns home, shaken by the experience. He sets a bottle of bleach on the counter and engages in a converstion with his wife, Helen, and his two sons, who soon leave to play at their freind's house. Harold resumes telling Helen of the job he's gotten as Helen grows staedily more distressed. Soon, Bob and the dead guy, who was named Garbldinuh, burst into the home, accompanied by sirens, increasing steadily in volume. Bob reveals that Garbldinuh is actually Helen's dead brother and screams to Harold that he should check if his wife has a cell phone. When Helen slowly pulls one out, Bob lunges at her but slips on a spoon, which knocks agains the bleach actually filled with gasoline, and the bottle topples over, igniting on the stove and killing everyone in the house.
John and George, seeing the explosion fall down and remember nothing of the incident, nor that they are brothers.
[edit] Under the Rug
Under the Rug is named after the painting by Harris Burdick.
[edit] Summary
In Under the Rug, George is several years older, and the story begins as he is running from his abusive grandparents, his grandfather shooting at him with a sniper rifle. However, George manages to escape but collapses 30 minutes later in front of John's apartment.
George tells his tales to John and eats his dinner at John's house but it is cut short by an invasion of Neghwarks, aliens that are bent on desroying Earth to build a bridge from their home planet to their moon for vacationers. John is knocked unconcious by an exploding chair and George is captured by the Neghwarks.
George awakens to find himself in a prison cell on a Neghwarkian flagship. He meets a bug who tells him about why the Neghwarks are going to destroy Earth and hat George will probably be sold into space - slavery or eaten. Their coverstion is cut short by a jailer who leads George to the King's hall.
John awakens and jumps into the teleporter that George dissapeared into, showing a great deal of stupidity. He emerges in the cell to find the door open and the bug sitting quietly. The bug leads John to the King's hall to see a horrific sight.
