Tanya Boyd

Tanya Boyd (b. March 20, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Celeste Perrault on Days of our Lives. Boyd's passion for acting lead her to New York City and after several years of studying, she moved to Los Angeles, to pursue her dreams.

Boyd performed by traveling the world as a back-up vocalist with such well-know artists as Anita Baker, Lou Rawls, Bobby Lyle and Natalie Cole. In 1979, she became a member of the vocal group the Fifth Dimension, replacing Pat Bass. Boyd's passion was acting, and she soon realized how much she missed it, so returned to Los Angeles to continue her acting career. Since then, she has acted in various theatre productions, and has directed festival productions and comedies. She would like to become a film director someday.

Tanya was married to Bobby Lyle from 1994 to 1997.

Tanya Boyd also had a role on GoodTimes titled: JJ and the boss' daughter. She played Val, the daughter of JJ's ad boss. She kept her identity hidden at first until a co-woker of JJ overheard her talking to her father. JJ and Val then dated and ofcoarse came to the predictible end that she suggested JJ got his new position only because of her relation to his boss. In the end all worked out due to JJ's boss explaining he was not running a gift shop where he gives away promotions.
