Tando

Tando (Russian: Тандо) is a village (selo) in Botlikhsky District of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia.
The village was seized by a Chechen guerilla unit leaded by Shamil Basayev in August 1999 in the course of the Invasion of Dagestan.[1] A vacuum bomb was subsequently used here against the civilian population[citation needed] and the insurgents by Russian military.
