Tandem Aero is an airline based in Moldova. It operates passenger charters using leased aircraft. It was established in 1997.
The Tandem Aero air operators certificate permits the transport of passengers, goods and mail (at July 2007).[1]
[edit] Services
Tandem Aero operates international scheduled flights to Kiev and Tel Aviv (at August 2006).
The flight to Tel Aviv is operated with an Airbus A-320 of Air Moldova.
El Al has its code-share flight number on the flight to Tel Aviv, Aerosvit on the flights to Kiev.
The flights to Kiev were operated with Antonov An-24 until March 2006. Due to air traffic disputes between Moldova and Ukraine the service was halted. After a long period without flights, Tandem Aero flew again to Kiev on 31.08.2006 with an Air Moldova Embraer 120. Later for some time Tandem Aero switched to its Antonov 24RV.
As Moldova did not allow Aerosvit to fly on the route Chisinau-Kiev, Ukraine denied Tandem Aero the continuation of its service on this routes starting February 6, 2007.
