Tanaz Eshaghian

Tanaz Eshaghian (born 8 September 1974 in Iran) is an American documentary filmmaker.
Eshaghian, who left Iran with her mother at age 6, graduated from Brown University in 1996, and has a Master's in Media Studies from The New School.
On 14 February 2008, her film, Be Like Others, an examination of the social pressures faced by homosexuals in Iran, won the the Jury Prize and the Siegessäule at the Berlin International Film Festival's Teddy Queer Film Awards.
