Talk:Tank top
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tank tops are NOT acceptable to wear in most situations in the United States. They're acceptable for excercise and for students and student-age people who don't know any better, but I wouldn't call them even close to "acceptable." BrianGCrawfordMA 18:21, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

- Umm... Considering how many people one sees wearing tank-tops, I'd say they are definitely are acceptable. Remember, you are not the ultimate judge of fashion... -Hazel

- I'd have to agree that the ultimate judge of what is acceptable is not a single person but rather everyone as a whole. - Russ
In the UK a tank top is not really a sleeveless shirt, more a sleeveless sweater. I believe it originates from the fact the British army tank crews used to wear them. Epeeist smudge 07:58, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
